Li-ion batteries are used extensively throughout our world today. They are lighter than conventional batteries, providing a power-to-weight ratio that is much higher. Their development has led to power electric cars. We will use them to power the Evergreen State. The Evergreen State will be using a battery system that has been developed to mitigate the chance of an issue with the battery cells. Each cell is encased in a stainless steel frame that provides cooling, venting, and computer monitoring. If a cell starts to overheat, the system will reduce its output or secure the cell completely, giving us full dynamic control of the cells.
